Access and manage the files in FAT systems, both local and external, including USB drives. Organize the files stored on a selected drive alphabetically and create galleries for quick access and browsing, bypassing the limitations of FAT systems for adding data according to date.

FAT Sorter is a "simple" program to sort files on a FAT file system. The target scenario for it is to sort the files and folders on a USB flash drive alphabetically, so they are loaded properly on devices that read them.
The FAT file system doesn't support sorting directory entries. However, this is the only file system for USB flash drives that is widely supported. Unless the hardware or software accessing the device (like your computer) resorts them for display, the files will show in the order they were added to the directory.

Works very well. No need to reload 10,000 plus MP3s every time I load an extra CDs worth of tracks onto my Fitfort MP3 player I use for the Gym. That saves a lot of time. I'm on Windows 10 64 bit. Scanned download with McAfee before opening and again once it had loaded. All clean.

Works good on directory, but not with subdirectories.

Sorts files alphabetically. I imagine that the sorting is by File Name, but it would be good to have an option to sort by track number or other criteria. Works with Windows 10 for me. 10/16/219
